This post is a follow up to our previous post. Neil Stephany, 23, of Huntington Beach, has been charged with murder stemming from a crash near Crystal Cove State Park where he allegedly hit and killed a bicyclist while driving drunk.
Authorities alleged Stephany was behind the wheel of a white Toyota Tacoma when he hit Shaun Eagleson, 30, of Fountain Valley resident. Eagleson suffered critical injuries and was transported to Mission Hospital, where he later died. Witnesses at the scene reported Stephany hit Eagleson, rode the guardrail, and continued driving.
Stephany’s prior criminal history includes a guilty plea to felony assault, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and possession with intent to sell. According to court records, Stephany has also previously been accused of domestic violence.

Stephany faces three felony counts. Along with murder, he is being charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and hit-and-run with permanent and serious injury.
