Laguna Beach detectives, with help from Los Angeles police, arrested two men who allegedly robbed three men and pistol whipped two of them inside a Laguna Beach home last October, according to a Laguna Beach police news release

Officer took Tyron Lamont Beasley, 21, and Jyvontaye Demetric Harris, 20, both of Los Angeles, into custody atseparate locations in South Los Angeles on Monday, Laguna Beach Police Capt. Jason Kravetz said in the release.


A LAPD narcotics search warrant tipped authorities to Beasley and Harris. Los Angeles detectives found a cell phone stolen during the home invasion on a member of the Bounty Hunter bloods, which police describe as an “extremely violent” South L.A. gang.

Police arrested Beasley at a home. Authorities arrested Harris at the Compton Courthouse during a pre-trial hearing for a separate case involving possession of a loaded firearm in public. Police transported both men to Orange County Jail for booking.

The pair allegedly burst into the Laguna home and pistol whipped two of three men there and stole jewelry at 10:30 p.m., October 13, 2012. 

Beasley and Harris are both being charged with robbery, residential burglary, false imprisonment, use of a firearm during a robbery and gang enhancement, according to police.
