Orban was found unresponsive in his jail cell around 3 a.m. on Friday. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department announced the cause of death was suicide by hanging.
Orban was scheduled to be sentenced for the crime later that day. Despite Orban’s death, the judge allowed the victim to still give her victim impact statement in court on Friday.
