Authorities are reporting that they have discovered the body of missing Newport Beach resident, Quee Chadwick. Although the cause of death has yet to be determined, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office released a statement confirming that the body found is that of Quee Chadwick.
Thursday, Orange County detectives traveled to the Lakeside area of San Diego County and found Chadwick’s body at the bottom of a dumpster. The body was clothed and had ID with it. Police searched the Lakeside area following an investigative lead.
Peter Gregory Chadwick, 48, has already been charged with the murder of Quee Chadwick. Authorities believe that Quee Chadwick’s husband murdered her on Oct. 10 for financial gain. Police allege that Chadwick murdered his wife in their Newport Beach home after arguing over a possible divorce and financial issues.
The authorities became involved after neither of the Chadwick’s picked their children up from school on Oct. 10. A search of the couple’e home revealed signs of a struggle and blood according to the DA’s office. Chadwick was arrested on Oct. 11, he is facing one felony count of special-circumstances murder for financial gain. Chadwick is currently being held without bail and plead not guilty in court on Monday. If convicted he faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
